The Art Hub is pleased to announce Thoughtful Threads, a captivating exhibition featuring the pioneering textile-art duo Gunjan Arora and Rahul Jain, known collectively as Threadarte, curated by artist and gallerist Bhavna Minocha. Since 2011, Arora and Jain have been reshaping the possibilities of thread as an artistic medium. Their practice, rooted in patience, labour, and material experimentation, transforms discarded textile waste into mesmerising visual compositions. What begins as leftover thread—often overlooked or thrown away—becomes intricate abstractions and evocative figurative works that reflect both fragility and strength.

The exhibition showcases the breadth of their artistic journey, from early wearable artwork to expansive wall-mounted pieces and immersive installations. Each work pulses with vibrant texture and movement, blurring the boundaries between craft, fashion, design, and contemporary fine art. Their unique visual language reveals narratives of sustainability, reinvention, memory, and the quiet beauty inherent in the ordinary.

Curator Bhavna Minocha brings her vision as founder of Poetry in Frames to the exhibition, framing the duo’s practice within a broader conversation about meaningful and experimental contemporary Indian art. In her words, Thoughtful Threads invites viewers to witness “how discarded materials can hold stories, emotions, and possibilities far beyond their intended purpose.”
